The Nipissing University Black Association for Student Expression (NUBASE) is a group that aims to create initiatives that will promote equity, diversity, & inclusion on campus and in the North Bay community. Founded by Quintin & Shandon Ashitei, Kai Conklin & Taijon Eccleston-Graham in January 2021, NUBASE is dedicated to using its platform to advocate for all marginalized communities, specifically creating a safe space for Black students to express themselves and celebrate their culture. This group welcomes ALL students who are committed to eradicating racism, spreading positive messages, and making a positive change in the community.
